So I went to the google news and searched the health section and found this article about McDonalds. McDonald's is being threatened with a lawsuit because they lure children to buy junk food by putting toys in the Happy Meals. Oh my goodness. I'm not a big fan of fast food at all, but it's up to the parents to make good choices for the children. The kids are not the ones purchasing. The chain has come a LONG way in making the food better with the apples and juice or milk instead of fries and soda. But still, it amazes me the lawsuits that are out there these days. Wasn't it McDonald's that was sued for the person spilling the hot coffee on themselves. Good grief.
We need to become more of a society who takes responsibility for ourselves. Stop blaming. Grow up. If you don't like, don't buy it or don't go there. Just saying - that's my opinion. :)
How funny!! I feel the same way! We never go to McDonald's, but BOTH of my boys wanted to go to McDonald's for their birthdays a month apart. So, we went twice within a month's time. My youngest, 7 years old, chose a Happy Meal with apples and milk - his choice!! If we teach our children to make those "good choices", then eventually they will use good judgment and choose healthy things on their own.
ReplyDeleteBTW, he didn't eat the caramel with his apples because it's too sweet and he gave his toy to another child before we left :-) What a wonderful kid!!!!!
